Pixels and Prose: A Photography Exhibition by Neal Rodwell
I became a photographer before I owned a camera or took a photo.
In my early twenties I had to fill out a form when travelling through an airport. It asked for my occupation. I had been expelled from school, had no job, and didn’t know who I was or where I was going. I glanced up while pondering the question, noticed all the photographs on the walls so wrote, PHOTOGRAPHER.
Photography became art. I became an artist.
“This collection of photographic works and words spans 30 years of Big hART and goes beyond, into the life and landscape of the Northwest Coast”– Scott Rankin
