Paper making with Darren Simpson

Darren Simpson is a master papermaker who has been honing his skills in the traditional practices of handmade paper since 1996, making high quality paper that is sought after around the world.
After a highly successful first season, Darren’s workshops continue through Spring with a series of three diverse courses exploring different methods of papermaking, integrating natural and found materials, and getting creative with 3D formations and sculpture.
Papermaking 101
5 –26th September
In this course you will learn a variety of basic papermaking and decorative skills.

Session 1 Monday 12th September –Basic paper making, and inclusions –adding leaves, flowers, found materials – Postponed due to illness
Session 2 Monday 19th September –Adding texture and embossing
Session 3 Monday 26th September –Pulp painting
Session 4 Monday 27th September –Book binding
We encourage you to book in for the full course, however a limited number of drop in spots are available each week.
Full course fee $50 (this fee covers the cost of materials)
Drop in fee $15 per class
