An evening with acclaimed finger-style guitarist, sonic innovator and composer Aaron Hopper.
Aaron arrives in back in Tasmania following a European tour of Big hART’s Industrial Symphony, “ZINC” composed by Aaron and Paul Corfiatis, and a tour of Germany where he performed his Guitar works. Aaron’s finely crafted music uses sounds recorded in a Japanese paper making factory and Zinc factory in Hobart, Tasmania. Aaron is known for his fluid finger-style guitar pieces.
Aaron is a masterful and creative guitarist and and has been described as approaching the fretboard as though it were a keyboard, often creating the impression of more than one player.
“George Harrison’s phrase ‘while my guitar gently weeps’ makes perfect sense… for Hopper is a master guitarist both in interpretation and composition.” Andrew MacLean, Time Out.
“Zinc is a fabulous tribute to things that humans can make.” Five stars: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
