We’re sad to announce that due to forecast of very wet weather this weekend we will be postponing our Skate of Mind event at Ulverstone Skate Park this Saturday 17th June. We hope to reschedule this event in the coming months. Please stay tuned to Watershed Wynyard/ Big hART on social media for updates.
Skate of Mind is a free, all ages, beginner friendly skateboarding and arts event that promotes community, belonging and positive mental and physical well-being.
The event will culminate in the presentation of a short skateboarding, musical, and projection work created by Big hART with professional and semi-professional skateboarders and young people.
The event includes;
Free Skate lessons – Drop In Skate School X Skate of Mind Crew from 11am-12noon.
Food trucks – Eat Me Happy, Ulverstone Mens Shed Sausage Sizzle
Stalls – Drop In Skate School, Bickit Brand Co, and headspace Devonport headspace Burnie
Free Live music – Thomas Buist, Dudley Billing and Leigh Smith, LASCA DRY, and Meres.
Make sure you don’t miss this afternoon of free skating, demos, skate comps and giveaways that will be accompanied by both live and recorded music and visuals created by young people and professional artists.
